Launching late Summer '17, Local Philly Deals is the new destination to discover new experiences and offers from businesses in the Greater Philadelphia area.


To support our launch, we are seeking a Copy Writer to develop our brand voice, house style of writing and make the ordinary, extraordinary.


As part of our team, you:


  • Will be part of a team that influences all aspects of the Local Philly Deals brand.
  • Will be focused on e-commerce and its ongoing evolution to ensure that we provide customers an excellent experience.
  • Will regularly champion marketing initiatives and lead the creative aspects from concept to finished campaign.
  • Will be part of a small but passionate team building something new.


Responsibilities for this role include:


  • Excellent copywriting ability, be able to create ideas and bring them to life to generate results for the brand and advertising partners.
  • Produce copy for a broad number of projects, ranging from themed promotions, advertising partner campaigns, social media posts, on line digital advertising and off-line print campaigns, email marketing subject lines and content and more.
  • Understand the overarching business goals and our objectives and translate those goals and objectives into messaging that drives results.
  • Interpret analytical data for each project and translate feedback into improved copy.
  • Engage with team brainstorms and offer engaging ideas for each situation.


Qualifications:


  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
  • Eye for detail, specifically proof-reading your work and correcting any spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Knowledge of working in G Suite
  • Enrolled in or recently completed a Communications Degree or similar


This role is an UNPAID Internship position that is available for the Summer, Fall or Winter terms and will require a commitment of at least ten hours per week which can be worked remotely, or from our office in Brewerytown, Philadelphia.
